"So Help Me God"...An Inauguration Irony

The words "so help me God" will be uttered, once again, at the Presidential inauguration. Even though a minority group will protest the phrase the courts will "overlook" the usage. It is ironic that the reason for the allowance will be due to the diminished meaning of the word, God. It is used in buildings, on currency, and...sadly...in vain. Some will try to "straddle the fence". I will never forget Bill Clinton's "pregnant pause" between the words me and God...or the lame excuse afterwards. I am quite sure THE GOOD LORD would druther have his name utilized in a revered manner than one of diminished capacity.

Note: If we don't stand up for what is right...then we will stand down for what is wrong.

May God bless America...and may America deserve it!
