So are we socialists now or what? According to Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary, socialism is, "a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done." I have heard some speak of this transitional period as only temporary. So does that make us second-class socialists? While congressmen and senators were watching their BlackBerries just who was watching our monetary system? Do they not realize that it is linked to our national security? I only hope, correction, pray that their second chance to make things right is not squandered. If it is they may have to hear their children or grandchildren ask, "So are we communists now or what?"
